6^th Panhellenic Feast for the Exchange of Local Varieties

Saturday April 29, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The goals of this feast are:

 1.      To distribute local varieties of vegetables, cereals etc. to as many farmers as possible.

 2.     To establish contact among farmers who wish to grow local varieties, in order for them to share seeds, information and experiences.

 3.  To make it possible for all farmers who are willing to grow local varieties to get access to these seeds.

 4.   To emphasise the importance of this exchange without the use of any money.

Terms of participation:

All farmers who preserve seeds of local varieties, independently of the cultivation method they follow (organic, conventional, etc.), are entitled to participate, as long as they accept the goals and terms of the feast.

Note: all farmers have to mention the cultivation method they follow.

Location of the feast: The feast will be organised by “Peliti” and it will take place at the premises of the Holy Monastery of Timios Prodromos of Anatoli, Kissavos (Prefecture of Larissa).

How to reach the Holy Monastery of Timios Prodromos:

Other than using a private car, it is also possible to arrive to the village of Anatoli by bus.  For more information on bus schedules, you can call at 2410537737. If you decide to travel by bus, please inform us on your arrival day and time, so that we can pick you up from the village and take you to the Monastery.

In case you don’t have a private means of transport, neither can you take the bus, please inform as so that we can arrange your travel by other means.
